I have a Ridgid 13 inch planer and needed some new blades.. I purchased these which are the only blades Home Depot stocks for Ridgid.. they do not fit my planer. They are smaller than the ones I have in mine so they must have changed design since I purchased my planer. I had to return them. So I can’t recommend these blades unless you have a different 13″ Ridgid planer than I do.

This is a great planner with all the features a wood worker needs. It handles wide stock and has good power. It is easy to use and set up. It makes accurate cuts and is a good value for the money. With this planner you can save a lot of money by buying S2S and S3S lumber and planning it yourself.

Had this little planer for several years ( did not realise then that there was a lifetime warranty available but fortunately have not needed it so far)Done an amazing amount of work including facing about 3 dozen sawn cedar 6×6 for three decks and all the deck timber plus all the usual shop jobs and still have the original blades in use!!I love ALL my Ridgid tools , including table saw, impact drivers regular drills and my wife keeps stealing my Ridgid radio as it sounds so good.Had three batteries replaced with no trouble at all, The Nanaimo service centre even had two delivered as I was some way away and he was out of stock when I visited.Keep up the good work guys ,excellent products and service ,thankyou………………………

3 weeks ago I had ordered R4331 blades through a service center. Still waiting. So today I bought these blades at the local Home Depot. I did a fit test with one of them and it worked with good clearance. I noticed that, contrary to the picture in the HD website, the (new?) product package I bought clearly states that the blades with fit both r4330 and r4331.I have not tested the quality or durability yet.t

I ordered these blades online, for home delivery, on Sunday and they were delivered before noon on Tuesday. Can’t beat that! The blades do differ slightly from the original Ridgid blades in that they are slightly longer and have notched ends. I assume this is for fitment in a model update… The slight extra length wasn’t a problem in my machine – there is sufficient clearance at each end for the cutterhead to spin freely. I hope these last as well as the original blades. So far I’ve run about 35 BF of wide poplar – all 10″ to 12.5″ – and they cut beautifully.

This is the second thickness planer I have owned made by Ridgid. It is easy to use and is a great tool to have in the shop. I am 70 years old, and I have used thickness planers for many years… since the 10th grade of H.S. Many of my earlier years’ planers were more of a commercial-industrial type, but now my wood working is slowing down, as is my own body, so the stationary thickness planer by Ridgid is more to my speed. It is a good tool and does a great job for “non-production” work. I am pleased with it as a licensed residential-commercial Handyman. It does everything I ask of it and possibly more. A good investment for the work shop of any woodworking enthusiast.

I have been building “Heirloom” Quality custom woodwork for 30+ years, I have used other planers, but none come close to the Rigid, it has a Lifetime warranty, but none of my Ridgid tools has ever given me a problem- these blades last a very long time and are switchable (turn them around)- and Home has a good price for them

For the money it’s nice that they are double sided. The plastic cap they have on the ends are hard to get off without cutting your fingers. Did that the first time. They chip very easy. I would still recommend this product.

Assembly was somewhat difficult for 1 person because it’s assembled upside down.Components are very good quality. Operation is strong and relatively quiet.Setup is flexible for various cutting configurations.Dust collection port is functional but there are lots of places around the base etc that must be sealed.

I’ve used this thickness planer for about two years now with no real issues. It makes really nice, level cuts with minimal snipe as long as you keep the board length within recommended limits. Setting up the entrance and exit tables is simple, but critical to eliminate any snipe. Operation is easy and simple. My shop space is limited so for ease of use and storage I bolted my planer to a rolling table and I’m pretty happy with the arrangement.Lately I’ve experienced the reset circuit breaker being triggered during extended use. Quite frankly, I don’t know if that’s because it’s not intended to be operating it for as long as I have been or if the breaker has become weakened. I first noticed it when I was planning some 10″ wide mesquite boards. This material is very hard and even with 1/32″ cuts it made the planer work pretty hard. The breaker triggered several times during this activity and it seems to happen more often since. Or it could be I’m just working it more.My only real complaint is not with the machine, but with the warranty registration process that Ridgid employs. I bought the machine while traveling and didn’t set it up until several weeks after the purchase. By then I had destroyed the credit card receipt which, as it turned out, contained some critical information to complete the warranty registration. That’s the primary reason it got four stars instead of five.

This beast of a machine is capable of handling anything thrown in its path. This planer is reliably durable and powerful. It comes with razor sharp blades that leave an incredible surface-finish. This planer leaves a great finish and very minimal snipe on boards when run through. Over all, this planer is definitely worth the purchase. I highly recommend this product to anybody interested in purchasing a planer at an affordable price. In addition, at around 74 lbs it is easily mobile if need be.
