I don’t have much need for an angle grinder. I bought a cheap one when I needed to cut out a sink template from a Formica counter that had the backsplash included. I was very happy to have it when I redid my bathroom and needed to trim 3/8 inch porcelain tiles to accommodate the shower body controls.I learned quickly that a cheap tool is OK if you’re not going to use it much, but the blades need to be top quality. I used a diamond tip wheel for those tiles.Rigid is a great brand, and I first learned about it in the 1970’s when I had to go to plumbing supply houses to get the equipment and materials to renovate my house. These carbide tip wheels are for drywall and plastic. I used in on a small drywall project and I found none of the quick dulling I have experienced in the past.

Really nice getting the cut off wheels. What would only be better would be Home Depot Stock the Cut Off wheels especially since they sell the tool they are made for.

You could make them last longer and cut true’ I use different brand

Would have given a higher star rating if it weren’t for the wheels wearing down quickly. Otherwise I would recommend this tool and purchase it again.

Small circular saw blades that cut most soft materials with ease. These blades fit on both a 7/16” and 3/8” saw arbors with the included adapters. The blades cut in either direction and don’t need to be mounted for the correct rotation direction like other saw blades. What’s in the box:3 – Carbide blades 2 – 3/8” to 7/16” Adapters These 3 blades are listed as suited for cutting plastics and drywall but they also work for other soft materials like copper and aluminum sheet as well as PVC siding. These blades are made for the Ridgid 3″ mini saw but they will also work on almost any small circular saw with a 7/16′ or 3/8” arbor shaft. I am using this on my 4 3/4″ Genesis saw. These blades do a good job of cutting thin sheet metal such as copper, aluminum and other soft metals as well as plastic and drywall. These make installing outlets in Sheetrock quick and easy since the blades are small and easy to use freehand, it’s easy to get nice straight cut outs with this little saw blade.

RIDGID Carbide Cut-Off Wheel Set (3-Piece)As a handyman I need a cut off wheel made especially for softer materials. In use for repairs and cutting new openings in existing walls or plastic. These wheels are serious time savers compared to hand tools. The cut is pretty clean but you may have to sand off some burrs on PVC type pipes. The cutting edge does not clog up after prolonged use. I fit these on 3 types of air tools without problem. The adapters allowed for a fit on non Ridgid grinders. For use as intended you will get a long life. Tested on drywall, great, on PVC pipe, good, on plastic excellent. I trust Ridgid to make my jobs easier.

A Three Piece Set of Rugged Carbide Wheels that will outlast ordinary Wheels. Just in time to cut some vinyl siding I’m doing on my house. A lot easier to use than my circular saw and lighter. I used one to trim gutterguard covers that I installed to my existing gutters. Much easier and cleaner cut versus using hand metal cutting tool.

As usual from the Rigid line of products, a top notch product, these have a good “Cerf” to them so they do not get clogged up with PVC pieces like a typical saw blade does and the do not melt the plastic as much. These come with a set of bushing in the 7/16 and 3/8, both appear to be high quality and not some cheap plastic. Overall a good product as you would expect from Rigid.

I was hoping these cut-off wheels would be compatible with tools of another brand, but I was disappointed. Since I do not own the RIDGID 18V SubCompact Brushless 3 in. Multi-Material Saw (R87547B), I tried to use this on a corded angle grinder of another brand, and my shaft was too big. I also spent some time trying to figure out how to adapt to my corded rotating tool, but was also unsuccessful. When I need to cut some plastic or drywall, I may try to ream out the mounting hole to allow these to fit my angle grinder, but I am not going even try that unless I don’t have a tool which would do the job.

My husband is a real DIYer, he does plumbing, wood craft and a lot of other things, He was very happy to get these as they will fit in smaller places that a regular sized cutting wheel. just make sure you check the size to make sure it will fit on your grinder, luckily he had a smaller grinder that they did fit, but they did not fit his full size grinder

At one half of the cost of Milwaukee brand blades, these Ridgid blades are a more economic buy. The 3 pack is a more sensible buy than the single individual blades sold otherwise. Depending on the durability of the Milwaukee blades versus the Ridgid blades would define which is ultimately the better buy. The arbor adapters are also a great addition to the package.

I think overall these are decent quality cut off wheels. I used them with a my M12 cutoff tool and thought they did a good job of cutting through drywall and plastic. The set comes with additional arbors in case you do not have the correct arbor size which is nice. The cut off wheels themselves are very well designed and held up well to multiple uses. They didn’t seem to wear down too quickly but I also have had cut off wells that have had longer lasting in quality cuts.Overall I was very pleased with these cut off wheels and would recommend them.
