Have older batteries: two Ridgid Hyper Lithium Ion 18V 27Wh batteries (R840085), and one Ridgid Max 18V 2.5A battery (130254007). With this Ridgid charger, all three batteries charged right up, sequentially. Had the two smaller batteries plugged in first: one charged while the other one was waiting on standby.. When the first charged fully, the charger switched to the 2nd. While that was charging, I swapped the 2.5Ah for the charged 1.5Ah battery. When the 2nd 1.5Ah charged, the charger automatically switched to the 2.5Ah battery, and charged it. And stopped. All as expected. All as it should.Glad, with my new battery charger, to be able to put my Ridgid drill/driver, impact driver and cordless circular saw to good use now! (Acquired them years ago, used, at a thrift store; at the time, the batteries had enough charge to test the tools, so I knew them to be in good working order).
