Easy to set change from belt to drum. I wish dust collenctin was a little bit better. Overall a great tool.

The sander works as advertised and I have used it, in some way, on almost every project. My only complaint is the rubber knob to loosen the belt sander attachment and change over to a spindle. It becomes so tight (with use) it’s impossible to loosen by hand. It’s made of rubber so you can’t use a wrench or pliers. I have had to send it in for repairs two times now to simply loosen the knob attachment. I would be happy if it was redesigned so that a wrench would have to be used to switch between a belt sander and a spindle sander. Other than that it has been great!

Reasonably priced, and the only one I have seen that combines the spindle and belt. This was my second purchase of this brand and model, and I have no hesitation in recommnding its purchase.

Does the job.

works well with little vibration. The dust collection needs work, Perhaps putting air slots in the lower disks would help.

I used it many times in the first week. Did everything I expected. Very easy to change spindles. Well engineered for storage of all parts. Wished I bought it several projects ago.

This sander works great for me. I read the reviews about motor issues and I have had none. The manual suggests using Talcum powder if the sleeve is too tight for the drum. Quite the opposite problem. The sleeves with my machine are too loose. I was not sure how I going to solve this. At first I thought I would have to take the sander back to HD. Instead, I used one of the other drum washers to block the sleeve from sliding off. Perfect. My only complaint is the missing 1/2 inch drum. Why include a 1/2 inch sleeve and no drum? Four Stars.

I’ve given it a pretty serious workout and it seems to do exactly what I hoped. My one issue is the rubber feet on the bottom pop off way too easy and it’s a matter of time before they’re lost.

Great tool and well made

This thing is awesome. Switches between belt sander and spindle sander in no time. It’s quiet and sturdy and has a litany of accessories that comes with it. The vacuum port want what I was expecting so I will have to get an adapter or something. Other than that, it’s great.

Very well built. It’s made our sanding of projects much faster and the quality of our work looks better! I wish the dust collection worked better. I just use a second vac to clean of the work surface once I’m done.Overall this is a excellent addiction to our shop.
Keenan Moen (verified owner) –
Not a bad tool. Could use a speed control and a miter guide to keep things square.

Just got it and have only used it for just a few minutes. Set-up is minimal. Seems to be of typical Ridgid good quality regarding fit and finish. Interesting to note that their is no on-board storage for the belt sander “stop”.

love this sander, works great.
Amely Pouros (verified owner) –
This sander was easy to set-up and use. It works well with my scroll saw work.
Jayda Rice (verified owner) –
Works perfect. I have used the straight sander adapter and the 1 inch spindle. Both are easy to change between grits. The vacuum dust collector works well.

Very well made.
