NXT wet dry vac is sleeker than ever and was designed as a modern vac on the outside with amped up power and performance on the inside. The 4.25 peak horsepower motor and 9 Gal. drum size are perfect for home improvement projects and cleanup around the garage and shop. The large 1-7/8 in. diameter locking hose locks onto the vac so it wont pull loose during use and the added Dual-Flex feature resists collapsing and offers the mobility you need to reach tight places. This vac was built for comfort and convenience with an ergonomic front-to-back top carry handle, comfort grip drum carry handles and latches that securely seal the lid to the drum. Connect the hose to the blower port for added versatility and use for blowing leaves, grass clippings and more. This vac’s patented Qwik Lock Filter Fastening System makes installing or removing your filter quick, easy and secure. I used this shop vac to vacuum out my car after an unfortunate straw bale incident. It worked perfectly. The size is perfect for home use, it has a great attachment selection, and the power for the size (9 gal) was better than I anticipated. It was originally purchased to replace a 20 gal that had died after 10+ years, which was way too big for personal residential use (and was a different brand). The RIDGID 9 gal has a comfortable handle to move it around (plus wheels), and the handle is actually designed for the power cord to wrap around, a huge plus. I feel the construct is solid, and it is compact enough to store in the house (we don’t have a garage, just an unattached barn). I highly recommend!

I’m sure this is an excellent vacuum but I exchanged for the 12 gallon model. The reason I had to do this is because I am using it to clean my gutters and the pipes for the 9 gallon model is not compatible with the gutter cleaning attachment. Also the 12 gallon model was a few dollars cheaper so everything worked out really good for me.
