I purchased this Ridgid 18-Volt Dual Chemistry Rapid Charger and a separate item of two (2) Ridgid Octane batteries days after I had completed the purchase of a Ridgid Octane 1/2″ Impact Wrench. You can imagine my surprise when I discovered that the batteries did not qualify for the LSA. I registered the charger, and waited for a response. Some time passed and I checked the tool registration page to find that action was required on the charger. I sent them a copy of the receipt as requested. I got an email later telling me the following: “Ineligible product – Includes, but is not limited to any free or promotional serialized piece of equipment provided beyond the contents of the purchased tool kit, generators, pressure washers, radios, accessory batteries, accessory chargers, plumbing equipment, extension cords, heated gear, storage, hand tools, and wet/dry vacs, as well as consumable accessories provided with the tool.” The charger was a separate tool/item, it was not ordered as a package with batteries. RIDGID LSA = FAIL!!! After many years of having little to no issues with Ridgid, I have become extremely disappointed. To call Customer Service means giving up your day holding on the line waiting for someone to pickup, and when they do it is a crap shoot. RIDGID CUSTOMER SERVICE = FAIL!!!The money I earn comes hard! I am finding myself hard pressed to spend more of my hard earned money with RIDGID in the future.

These batteries are a little stubborn to remove from my two drills when I try to remove them. They need a tap to be removed.

Its nice for not having to worry about a cord but if you only have one battery the life time on it isnt the best but they give you the option to connect 2 18v batteries on it for extra life times which makes up for it

Great vac! Does everything I need it for and CORDLESS!! Love how all the attachments can be stored onboard and that you can mix and match battery sizes.

It’s smart battery to read the information inside of the batteries thru RIDGID app. I have many Bluetooth batteries for RIDGID. Perfect size and light weightfor impact driver and other power tools if you want to hold the power tools for long periods.

This review is for the Ridgid 9 gal. 18-volt shop vac. Love the vac since I can drag it around to blow the sawdust to one side without the wheels hanging up on a power cord. And I don’t have to lift up a power cord when reversing direction like I’ve done for so many years with my corded shop vac. The suction and blower power are almost the same as my corded shop vac so no problem there. But I did deduct one star because the hose cannot be inserted in the blower port far enough for the tug along hook to engage. So when I’m dragging the vac around while blowing, the hose comes off now and then. It’s funny since the hose does fit OK into the suction port and allows the tug along hook to engage. The factory needs to buy a good micrometer when laying out the injection mold so that the blower port has the same inside diameter as the suction port. Or maybe have the outside diameter of the hose connector be a little smaller so that it will fit into the blower port which will make it also fit into the suction port.

I like rigid, and have multiple toos and batteries batteries so opted for this. I purchased this to clean out my food plot planter at end of season so I can swap seeads out in the field, for that, it works well. I like its convenience of battery power, has pretty good suction power but not as good as the electric one, ( which I also own) My only compliant is the battery run time on the unit is not very long, if you are wanting to use for quick jobs, then it is fine. But doubtful it will last long enough to clean a whole car out clean unless you have two of the larger batteries hooked up to it, and even then, very doubtful you will be able to do 2. If you have multiple rigid batteries, it isn’t a bad deal . I would give it 3.5 stars if I had the option, I went with 4 due to my satisfaction with rigid products as a whole
