I have not tried the shop vac so can’t rate this system but the leaf blower kicks butt and is pretty darn quiet. Lots of power for my needs plus the cord has some length. I had another shop/vac combo and this is definitely an upgrade for a fair price especially with the lifetime guarantee.

I used to own the 16 Ga version. They have made design changes to address weakpoints but have created new problems. Cord wrapping feature doesn’t work, the unit easily tips over and not balanced, too much air leakage between attachments compromising air movement when used as a blower……
