Great product. Well thought out tools and organizer. It’s alsoalot quoted than previous shp vacs which is a plus. The only down side to this, is the blower attachment doesn’t seal very well and seems to lose so of it’s blowing capacity because of it, but still gets the job done!

Overall a very tough, powerful and versatile machine, not to mention a great deal with all the extras that come with it… I gave it an average rating for two reasons…1) As a blower, it’s a bit heavy, a bit tippy and, while the cord is plenty long, of course, I was still dealing with a power cord…However and, to me, much more importantly, 2) The vacuum/blower motor does not clamp and/or seal securely on the top of the lid… The latch allows the motor housing to shift and/or slightly lift off the sealing surface of the lid, depending solely of the weight of the motor and the suction it produces to maintain a proper seal AND the seal itself is a very thin layer. This can and, in my opinion will, under the right circumstances and/or age, allow air to leak in between the two, drastically reducing the air flow/suction at the business end of the vacuum hose…Because of this lack of proper/solid latching/sealing, I returned the unit and stayed with my old, trusty, 12-Gal, 5 HP Ridgid and bought a cordless leaf blower… There needs to be a better seal/latching system between the motor housing and the canister lid…. If Ridgid had got that right, it would have EASILY made 5 stars, from me and I, very likely, would have kept it, in spite of the weight and the fact that I was still tied to a power cord. (Probably would have bought a battery operated leaf blower, anyway, too)

I used to own the 16 Ga version. They have made design changes to address weakpoints but have created new problems. Cord wrapping feature doesn’t work, the unit easily tips over and not balanced, too much air leakage between attachments compromising air movement when used as a blower……

Everything came as expected, and the extension hose for getting into the car connects in an odd way to me. Also the connectors and main hose itself seem a bit cheap, but everything is work properly. I think the suction is OK. I thought the 6HP might be more. I am using this with the provided bag to make clean up easier so this might cause a bit of lost suction. I think it is a good trade off. Overall I am happy.

Lots of attachments! Easy to assemble. Wish they had a bag or something to store all the car attachments. Great suction. Used on carpet, hardwood floors, computer, and car! Works great! Used the blower and didn’t even have to remove from base, but you have the option if you want. Not super strong, if course I’m use to a gas blower, but it worked to blow off my patio. So I am really happy with it. And I have 2 extra filters when I need them. Only issue I have not figured out is how to attach the blower attachment as it is the same size as the hose, so I will have to maybe use the attachment that came with the car accessories kit?

Vaccum has good suction. love the way everything has a place to be stored on the unit!! reason for 4 stars not 5 is the weight of the blower. I used the blower part to dry the car off after I washed it. when holding it to reach the top of the car it got heavy quick!!! great vac/blower!! stop looking and just get one of these!!
