At 6.0 peak horsepower, this vac delivers the power for heavy-duty pro cleanups. Its redesigned scroll technology gives the NXT vac an increase in power, suction, and lift. The 14 Gal. NXT vac includes the first ever 2-1/2 in. locking accessories that lock onto a wand or hose which means no downtime from attachments coming apart. The 2-1/2 in. diameter size resists clogs and makes cleaning large messes quick and easy. This large capacity vac features a 2-piece drum construction that offers the toughest RIDGID durability. Replacement filter VF4000, and Size A VF3502 dust collection bags sold separately.

I bought this unit for light car detailing and for rug vacuuming, expecting this thing to be alright but noisy and hard to maneuver.Man was I wrong, this vacuum may be quieter than your house vac! Its pretty powerful, but it does diminish a tiny bit after using it for awhile. BUT!After closer examination I did see that the harsh right angle on the inlet of the hose when it reaches the tub can have paper and other rubbish hang on to, and after clearing that, the suction power seemed to get much better. All in all its a great option, if a little spendy.

Great power and capacity. I bought this for a popcorn ceiling removal. One of the things I really liked about this purchase was the dust bag that was included. That made the clean up so much easier and held all the popcorn mess. I’ve since purchased a dusting brush to assist in the sanding clean up of kitchen cabinets. The only flaw(for lack of a better term) would be the hose is too long to fit snug when put back in the hose storage clamps.
