NXT wet/dry vac was built with RIDGID’s most powerful 6.5 peak horsepower motor, the 16 Gal. vacuum was engineered for the Pros with the toughest cleanups. This model includes a cart with large rear wheels and the accessories to equip the Pro for any job with 2 wands, a utility nozzle, car nozzle, wet nozzle, crevice tool and a muffler/diffuser. The drum offers maximum capacity at 16 Gal. and the 2-piece drum construction provides lasting durability. Storage is readily available on this model with accessory storage to secure tools on hand, added hooks to store the hose and caster feet that fit both 1-7/8 in. and 2-1/2 in. accessories. The 16 Gal. NXT wet/dry vac includes 2-1/2 in. locking accessories that lock onto a wand or hose which means no downtime from attachments coming apart. It features the patented Qwik Lock Filter Fastening System that makes installing or removing your filter quick, easy and secure. Replacement filter VF4000 and Size A VF3502 Dust Collection Bags sold separately.

Plenty of power and works great. Only issue I have is that it shipped with no axle for the wheels. I let RIDGID know and they said to expect one in 5 to 7 days. At the time of this review, it has been 28 days and still no axle. Luckily I was able to craft my own from a piece of threaded rod, a couple sleeves I found that would slip over them at the wheels, and some nuts and washers. If not for this one issue, it’s a 5 star product.

Love the build quality of this vac. Was surprised at how much quieter it is compared to my old 3hp Craftsman. I only have one gripe and it’s that it came with the wrong extension tubes. They should be the locking style but mine are not. I’ll be paying a visit soon to resolve this issue and hope it will be as simple as swapping my non-lockers for the correct ones. You might want to open the box at the store to check for the proper contents. Hopefully this was just a single unit packaging mistake.Otherwise, I really like this vac in terms of power, ease of moving around the shop due to its handle and large wheels, and it’s quieter than my old less powerful shop vac.

I love it but the only thing I would change is the directions on how to install the wheels. If you are not careful you would break it like I did. Luckily for me home depot had the piece I need to fix it for $3.

This machine and I work on manufacturing floors (tiled, grouted, carpeted). It outperforms “PRO” units.Although I gave this an “EXCELLENT” Rating, I’ll have to say I would desire some modifications or available RIDGID-APPROVED upgrades. The unit is noisy, during transport on non-carpeted floors. I’d like a more confident feel in the transport handle. A longer powercord would be another good idea.But, overall, for the money, one would not do better. Especially, when one uses the blower ability.
