Part of the most powerful line of vacs RIDGID has ever made, the RIDGID 16 Gal. NXT vac was built with RIDGID’s most powerful 6.5 peak horsepower motor. This 16 Gal. vac was engineered for the Pros with the toughest cleanups. The drum offers maximum capacity at 16 Gal. and the 2-piece drum construction provides lasting durability. The 16 Gal. NXT vac includes the first ever 2-1/2 in. locking accessories that lock onto a wand or hose. It features the patented Qwik Lock Filter Fastening System that makes installing or removing your filter quick, easy and secure. The included RIDGID OSHA compatible kit with HEPA-media filter and cyclonic pre-separator dust bags includes 1 RIDGID VF6000 5-layer allergen filter and 2 RIDGID VF3602 premium cyclonic dust bags. When installed together (in select RIDGID vacs listed below), this kit is OSHA Silica Table 1 Compatible for certain dry dust collector control methods and HEPA-filtered vacuum control methods (1926.1153) within the limitations of their airflow performance.
- Maximum power 6.5 peak horsepower NXT vac for heavy-duty cleanup
- Kit is OSHA silica table 1 compatible when used with select RIDGID vacs 12 Gal. to 16 Gal. and hand-held power saws for cutting fiber cement-board (with blade/wheel diameter of 4 in. or less) and handheld grinders for mortar removal (i.e. tuck-pointing) and uses other than mortal removal
- HEPA-level filtration is achieved when the VF6000 HEPA media filter and VF3602 cyclonic dust bag are installed together in select RIDGID 12 Gal. to 16 Gal. wet dry vacs

- For OSHA silica table 1 compatibility, employer/user must check the grinding wheel diameter when selecting a RIDGID wet/dry vac to ensure 25 CFM per inch of wheel diameter criteria is met
- Peak horsepower represents a level at or below the maximum horsepower output of an electric motor tested in a laboratory using a dynamometer

I bought this one because of the rear wheels make it easier to go upstairs and through rough terrain at least I thought it would because I’ve owend different ones that did well but this one everything about the rear axle is cheap there’s to much play so the wheels wobble alot

This is likely to be that everybody knows this but you type of review. But I thought a wet dry vac would work on vacuuming gutters. It ruined the high filtration triple filter in blue that came with it. I actually washed out the blue filter with a water hose thinking that would fix the problem. No NO NO. If you are going to vacuum water, or anything wet, then buy the separate filter for wet. It’s black and it is washable.Don’t feel stupid, I already did that for you.

Excellent vacuum is worth the price

I bought this vac because it was advertised as Osha and Hipaa compliant. What makes it compliant are a Hipaa filter and filter bags which come separately. Instructions on the bags show installation on a vacuum with a short inlet tube (approx. 1″). The inlet tube on the HD1800 vacuum protrudes more than 3″. To install the bags, the rubber gasket around the cardboard collar must be stretched so far that it gets dislodged from the cardboard. A good seal between the bag and the inlet tube, and Hippa compliance, are impossible once the rubber gasket is dislodged. Additionally, the full filter bag is often ripped open when being pulled around the long inlet tube.Ridgid customer services insisted that the rubber gasket could go around the long inlet tube but the video they provided as instruction had a shorter tube.
