New EPA regulation now in effect requires the use of a certified HEPA filtration vac, along with other specific cleaning techniques. This certified HEPA Filter is 99.97% efficient at filtering particulates down to 0.3 mic in size when used in conjunction with the RIDGID RV2400HF wet dry vac. The filter is water-resistant and durable for easy cleaning and re-use.
- When used in conjunction with the RIDGID vac, RV2400HF, the vacuum system is HEPA certified for EPA cleanup under the remodel, repair and painting (RRP) rule
- Cleans the air by filtering 99.97% of particles as small as 0.3 mic
- Filter is washable and reusable
- Combined use of this filter and the high-efficiency filter bag, WD3502, will extend the life of your HEPA filter

I also like that Ridgid backs there products anytime I have had a problem there was never a concern to replace or fix the problem.

Pros: The Hepa Filter fits just great and is a perfect match in terms of size and fit for this specific model of Ridgid Shop Vac. Cons: The fabric pre-filter does not fit securely over the hepa filter.. It seems to be sized incorrectly. Even when I fully tightened the tightening screw on the side, it never tightened far enough to hold it in place snugly against the bottom. So, I suspect it will allow more dirt than necessary to reach the hepa filter. The good thing is that the Dust Filter (sold separately) does a great job of catching most particles so very little dirt will actually reach your hepa filter anyways if you are only using this a residential garage and do not create too fine of particles.

It’s a filter. It does what filters do. But as a remediation contractor, it is a critical part. They sell the HEPA vac in the store, but not replacement filters? Huh? A HEPA vac with a missing or damaged filter is dangerous. My vac was out of service for several days, waiting for a simple part.
