This upgrade is so much better than the hose that comes with the vacuum itself.It is more flexible and the added length make it a perfect add on. The diameter is also slightly smaller so it creates a better vacuum.I’d definitely recommend this to anyone who is planning on getting a vacuum cleaner from Ridgid.

This worked well to extend my DeWALT shop vac (1-7/8 in. x 7 ft. hose) another 10 feet. The Rigid hose is high quality and it swivels on each end. I did end up securing the two hoses with a 2” hose clamp.

High quality hose, extra fittings are hard to remove after putting in, so make sure you pick the right one to begin with – that’s my only complaint – I didn’t think too hard about which one I needed when first hooking them up – luckily I guessed one that was OK.

I have purchased a few original rigid vacs and also their OEM hoses, and they have always been my pet peeve. They kink and aren’t well made. This hose is well made and does not kink or collapse, it’s by far superior to the one that comes with their vaccums. The only thing I could see to make it better is if it were a full 2″ or 2.25″ would be even better. Why they make this smaller than the original, I just don’t know. With that being said, it is still FAR SUPERIOR to the original and OEM Ridgid hose.Hope this helps,Al from AZ

Bought this hose to replace the one that came with my Ridgid shop bac. As reviewers had warned, the manufacturer shipped my vacuum with a cheap OEM hose that had to go in the trash bin. This one is of much better quality and is flexible enough to be useful. Since it’s new, I cannot comment on its longevity.
