In general this nailer serves its intended purpose well, which in my case is installing rough dawn 1″ t&g pine paneling on a ceiling. Positives: long run time per charge, no hoses, no noisy generator, easy to use, relatively light. Negatives: occasional issues feeding nails when completely full, inconsistent depth of drive, random failure to completely sink heads (even in soft pine set at full depth).I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this product for similar projects, the positives far out weigh the negatives.

Very well constructed however heavier then similar in its class. Hard to use on inside corners due to the straight nail track but proforms wonderfully with straight work. I would recommend this product. With the LSA you cant beat the price just be sure to register both the gun and the battery/charge

The new lithium batteries are power packed. Ridgid keeping the battery compatibility from older tools is awesome. My first generation tools work better with the lighter, longer life batteries and the dual chemistry charger keeps my nicad batteries still useful. As for the finish nail gun, it is certainly convenient not having to bring out the compressor and hose. The gun is larger, heavier and slower than an air powered gun. The sequential trigger setting I’d just silly since the gun takes a moment to generate the air charge do you can’t bump fire it like you may be used to with your pneumatic gun. I’ve had no trouble driving 1½” nails through oak base board. The noise level is quite tolerable. The led light actually illuminates where you are working and can be actuated without the gun in contact with the material so you can light your way into the work area. Overall pleased with this tool.

This mailer is a slower than air but much more convenient. So far we are very happy with the product. One draw back is the price of batteries.

I bought this nailer based on its specs. I have only used it to drive five test nails. With that said, it is more than worthwhile to read the manual. This nailer has many high-end features along with Titanium construction of its drive cylinder. It is built to last! There are controls to adjust the overall power output of the nailer (a sliding lever recessed into the top of the barrel) and another knob (near the nail driving end) to set the depth that the nail is driven into various types of wood. There is a light control for the guide light which is very handy. This unit is a good deal larger than it appears from the photos. It comes with a three year warranty, which if you jump through numerous hoops and hurdles will upgrade the nailer, original battery and charger to lifetime status. There is a caveat to this status. The unit must be taken or sent to a participating Home Depot Service Center. Not all of them fix nailers. From my location this would be a one way trip of about 54 miles. So, to use the warranty it will cost some money in gas or by time mailing it in, the postage, insurance and documentation of warranty status and problem description. A Lifetime Warranty is great, but there are a number of steps involved. The first hurdle was getting it established. I had to speak with the Ridgid Warranty Supervisor who was excellent and got everything set up. The problem was being persistent to get to the Supervisor through the many underlings who did not know the answers and a very un-user friendly computer program.Just from the five nails I have driven, the unit is quiet with minimal kickback. It is comparable to a pneumatic brad nailer, just a good bit larger. It is almost as large as was my pneumatic full head framing nailer, but not nearly as heavy. In retirement this nailer will last me a lifetime and I do not need to connect it to an air compressor when I want to use it – a BIG advantage. In summary, I have not used it enough to determine its longevity. It appears very well made. It is a versatile unit. It has an excellent warranty. It has numerous user friendly features. It does very well what it was designed to do – drive up to 2.5 inch 16 gauge nails. It has the latest technology with the brushless motor technology, which contributes to its quietness, power, longevity and ease of use.The last big advantage is that this unit is the flagship unit of Ridgid. If you try it and are not happy, your money will be refunded. Not all products come with this type of backing from the seller.

The tool is much heavier than I expected, but it’s way better than having to drag an air hose around. It also takes a little getting use to as I found it takes some pressure pushing on the gun to fully seat a nail. It’s a handy tool for my projects.

I returned this product because it does not countersink nails. Good tool just like other rigid products, just not powerful enough to suit my needs.

Loved the gun, but it would not counter sink the nails. Had to take it back after one week and maybe a 1000 nails. Not one nail would counter sink no mater what the setting.

Have only used it on a few projects, but so far it’s been great. Nice not having to haul a compressor and hoses around. Also nice that it uses the same batteries as my other Ridgid tools. The only issue is the warranty registration. It’s cumbersome and after I sent in all the requested information I received an email stating that there was a conflict with my registration. So……. More paperwork was necessary, but this time it could not be done online, it had to be mailed in and registered mail at that. The warranty registration should be easier.

Very easy to make adjustments to.It sets the pins just below the surface better than previous pin drivers.Disappointed in the cost of additional batteries. Can not find a coated or stainless pin for exterior use yet. The smaller gauge does have pins that are made for wet or exterior use.Great driver so far, I will be buying the 18 guard in the future.

Light weight, no messy air hose is needed. A good tool and is worth to be recommended. Also, life time warranty is a garantee to your tool investment.

I have only been able to use a couple of times so far it is a very good tool

Overall, a good cordless nailer. I just find it a bit underpowered compared to my older DeWalt cordless nailer. It doesn’t consistently set nails longer than 1 1/2″. It’s a lot lighter than the DeWalt though and the battery life per charge with the standard battery is very commendable.

Glad I bought it! I would still be driving nails if I hadn’t. I’m going to buy my daughter one.

No more lugging compressor around, no more untangling hoses only to drag thru your project. Works as promised. Very satisfied

I have been wanting to purchase this tool for a lttile while, and decided on the combo kit. Very impressed with the performance, but it is a bit heavy. Overall, I am happy with it
