I purchased this Ridgid angle grinder to replace another manufacturer’s that burnt up. I really like this Ridgid grinder for a couple reason (so far). #1 The On switch can be pushed in so that you do not have to keep your thumb on the switch to keep it running. It really helps with eliminating ‘thumb fatigue” with big jobs. #2 The protective shield requires no tool to remove it or put it on. There is a nifty little spring loaded clip that allows you to push it and rotate the wheel guard to what whatever position necessary. I’ve only been using it for a month or so and so far I really like it. Good power too!

Bought this for the lifetime warranty (don’t forget to register). Used it to scrape high spot in the street gutter in front of my house which wiould pool after every rain and every day during summer due to sprinkler run off. Satisfied with the purchase and wonder why I hadn’t bought an angle grinder soon (so useful). Only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is because the power switch was finicky and took some getting used to. I think a paddle switch would be safer as it shuts off as soon as you let go. With switch, you have to be careful to turn it off.

This grinder has plenty of power. Used it to grind concrete several times. I initially wasn’t too keen on the slide switch, but have found it fairly easy to use and it keeps the unit running without having to keep the switch depressed. Just press the slide again to disengage.A quick plug for a grinder dust cover. If you’re grinding, this things great. They’re in the same section as the concrete grinding wheels. Hook up to a vacuum and you grind concrete without all the dust and debris. Awesome!
