It’s a good tool, it really is. It’s a joy to use, plenty of power, easy to adjust, and the ergonomics are good too. Its nice and compact, and comes with both a square and round base. I really like the quick-release on the height-adjust, combined with the fine-adjust wheel. It’s really a good design. However. when it comes time to change the bit, the tool turns into a nightmare. The opening is juuuust a little too small, causing you to try all sorts of weird angles until you finally force the wrench in there. Its such a shame that the tool has this flaw – everything else is great and this wrench thing would be such an easy fix. I have a feeling that the wrench is to blame here, perhaps the die which punches it out is worn out making the part too large, IDK. It’s such a shame that the $1 wrench ruins this $120 tool. Could i get a dremel and grind down the wrench or enlarge the opening? Probably, but I really shouldn’t have to. Anyway, I can’t recommend the tool because the wrench thing just makes it too hard to use.

Adjusting the depth of the cut was a little difficult at first. After some WD40 on the shaft, it became easier.

I love this router, it’s great for taking a project to the next level. I use mine alot to finish off some cnc work. Basically the 1/4″ round over bit almost never leaves the chuck. But I have alot used it for flush cutting laminate, and even countersinking hinges into new door jams. Its a one handed tool, so the other hand is left free to brace material or move clamps. The build in LED is great for tight spaces. This thing is a must for finish work.

This product was great. I’ve used a couple of times since purchase and I love it with just one minor issue. The wrench provided to tighten the collet won’t fit into the space provided on the router. Such a simple thing to get right and they didn’t. That costs them 1 star on my rating. Otherwise, I love this tool and am completely satisfied.
