The RIDGID 1-1/2 HP Compact Router features a soft start for gradual startup and extended motor life. With its variable speeds, you can easily adjust the router to your specific material type and application. With the micro adjust dial, you have more precise depth control.

Very user friendly features, I especially like the height adjustment and how easy it is to use! It was a little underpowered for some tasks but nevertheless a descent buy for the price! I’m satisfied with my buy and is very useful for working in tight corners and spigots where a regular size router is awkward! Nice compact size!

I am so happy with this router, I bought it to do some simple round over’s and thought I would put it to the test, I’m cutting 3/4″ T track into plywood in one pass, I know I should be using a larger router for these tasks but this one is just so comfortable and easy to use I find myself reaching for it instead of the big ones.

Purchased this to replace an older Bosch unit..I like the variable speed . The on/off switch above the power cord will take a little getting used to. As with my Bosch changing bits requires the removal of the motor from the base , most of the time. Overall it handles well, the two base plates are nice to have, and it cuts well. A great palm router at a reasonable price
