The new clean drive series of pneumatic nailers from Ridgid have been nothing less then a God send. I loved the redesign of the 18ga finish nailer so much I wanted to bring its big brother home to complete the set. This baby features a dry-fire lockout that prevents you from shooting when your out of nails. This not only saves unnecessary wear and tear on the gun but it also helps you keep unnecessary holes from being punched into your work piece. The newest features you will notice is a smaller more accurate no mar nose, a quicker and easier jam release lever and a newly redesigned inlet port made of magnesium with a fixed blow out valve unlike previous models that were made of plastic. I can also feel a noticeable difference in the shooting power sinking nails easily and efficiently.

This thing is awesome! The super small nose and angled magazine let you get into tight spaces I previously thought impossible. I’ve shot probably 100 nails so far, and every single one of them has been driven below flush no matter what angle I’m driving at. No misfires either.

I bought this gun as a replacement for an earlier model Of the same gun that I bought in 2007. The earlier model finally died, so I sent it in to Ridgid to get it repaired or replaced under their Lifetime Service Agreement. It is going to take several weeks to complete the process, so I bought this one as a replacement. Now I’ll have two guns. I live the gun. It works great. The other one worked for 13 years before it failed, and yet, Ridgid is still going to fixit. Pretty amazing….
