Excellent sander so far! There are however a couple of issues: (1) the hook and loop loses its grip as one changes disks repeatedly from coarse to fine; (2) the confirmation of the life time warranty is still pending (I don’t know why as I have registered and sent required information within a couple of weeks).

Works great! Haven’t done any large projects with it yet, but so far performs as expected. Variable speed is nice, and it does actually seem to grab more of the dust than my other sander of a lighter color. Only thing I would change would be to make the cord longer. This one seems to be 6ft, which is good, but I was used to a longer one.

I purchased this to have a quality orbital sander that hopefully wouldn’t vibrate like my cheap one does. This is a real smooth operating sander and I really like the way the dust bag twists off. It has plenty of power and doesn’ fatigue my hand like the cheap one does if I’m doing a lot of sanding. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star rating was because of the soft start feature. I don’t put it on the wood until it is going full speed so that soft start feature is worthless to me. Other than that I really like it. I did see where Ridgid has a six inch sander that had more power but I have never seen six inch sanding discs where as five inch discs are available everywhere.
