Used it for 5 hours straight right out of the box. Worked great, no problems. Plenty of power and lighter than the larger porter cable sanders.

Dust collection is inefficient. But the sander does a very efficient job.

Seems to be well built and works well. Only negative is that it could turn a few more RPMs.

Works well seems to be very noisy.

Sander operation was excellent but the exhaust needs to be modified to easily fit a vacuum hose

Overall good unit, would have gave 5 Stars but this is my 2nd unit, 1st one failed after 1+ years of use, the Lifetime Warranty did it’s job and replaced it. My biggest issue was dust control, and this unit connects up to my shop VAC just fine. Mine runs several times a day at a work station in my shop, and is light and easy to use.

The sander really does suck up a lot of the sawdust it creates. It is powerful, but always manageable

Very well made, it is a little underpowered if you are looking for a sander to remove large amounts of material, this might not be it. I was looking for something to do a large area fast and it does that well. It will remove much more than an orbital but not as much as the faster belt sanders. Dust collection is incredible. The system they put on here to pull the dust off the work surface works. I run this inside my shop with no issues. I highly recommend this. I added to my sanding collection and reach for it all the time.

Belt sander was the best belt sander l have ever owned. Easy set up and even sanding

Operationally the sander works great. Has a very aero-dynamic sexy look however the dust cover gets in the way if you want to switch from one hand to the other. The variable speed button is cheaply made. That being said, I like it and would buy it again.

I’ve need a belt Sanders for years so I finally got one. I like the power, ease of use, and comfort in my hand. What I don’t like is the fact that there is nowhere to put it when you are done using it. No handy toolbag or box. It just lays around. Looking like a mess. I’m not giving 5stars on durability because I just bought it a month ago, but I have used it quite a bit and seems to be great. I’ve done quite a bit of construction work for 25yrs and I’m always building something or remodeling something in my spare time. I hope it holds up like my other ridgid tools.

Great sander. Very good quality, lightweight, and dust collection works very well. It has excellent power and durability. This great tool gets the job done, Rigid is good quality. I’ve had other tools of this brand that never disappoint.
