The set is ok, seems the wood/metal blades burn up very quickly. I am using these with a DeWalt atomic tool. I have seen side by side reviews showing other tools cut better with same blades so that may be skewing my opinion.

I bought this to replace a Northern Tool Variable speed unit on which the mounting pins were short and broke. This unit appears to be very good quality and operating instructions (more info than online) are easier to understand once you have the tool in hand. The sliding lever is easy to pull forward but has a lot of resistance to pull back over the head. Once you realize you aren’t breaking the lever it is easy to do. Changing blades is a breeze compared to dealing with a cover plate and hex key. Detachable head is a plus for blade change as well. I would have preferred a separate speed control dial. Since I will not be using this tool frequently or require long run times for my projects the fact that the variable speed is controlled manually by the trigger works for me. For the price and a lifetime warranty with registration on Rigid.com this a very good deal.

Easy to swap out blades and the different tools. I tried to cut plastic with the wood blade that came with it and it didn’t work well. Make sure to get the right blade.I always prefer the corded tool to a battery operated one.
