The router is powerful enough to work with hardwoods. My only issue was the bit becomes loose during use. I feel a better solution would be a metal lock nut for bits. This router uses a plastic pen to prevent the shaft from turning when tighning router bits.

This router is all that I expected and more. It has lots of capability. I like that it is quiet compared to others I have used, also I appreciate that the packaging didn’t come with a bunch of Styrofoam that just wastes space in my garbage can. Having the fixed option will be nice down the road if I get table.

It seemed to be a good router but was more complicated do use than it needed to be. It was also somewhat bulky compared to the Dewalt which I ended up going with.

Overall good router, however the power switch is in a poor location at the top of the motor unit, so you have to remove one of your hands from the router handle to turn it off. This greatly increases the risk of either dropping the router, damaging the work piece, or injuring yourself. Everything else about the router is good, but I feel this issue is important enough to consider another router before purchasing this one.
