Cuts a straight line with no drift. So far I have used it only on 3/4″ plywood. It cuts smoothly. The only reason I subtracted a star is that the saw dust is not diverted. It is aimed directly at my face when I am standing on the motor side. This saw reminded me quickly that I should have been wearing goggles and a mask. I don’t know whether all circular have this problem, so this complaint might not be valid.

The Rigid 6.5 is a nice saw but it’s heavy. The people who complain about it not being accurate just don’t use circular saws very often. I’m my opinion people buy this saw for is weight. So in the future rigid needs to find a way to make it lighter.

Very nice saw

Great little saw if it serves your purpose. If you are looking for heavy use on commercial framing crews, stay with your worm drive. This 6-1/2 saw is light in weight but heavy duty enough for most tasks on remodel job sites, and more than enough for at home construction projects. I got tired of yielding the worm drive (32 years old). This one is ideal after health issues forced retirement.

I have owned a panel saw for years, but trying to find 6″ blades are a pain. Even Home Depot doesn’t carry them. So I wanted to invest in anew circular saw and with the lifetime warranty, I chose this saw. I am happy due to the power and the availability of blades.

Compact, lite and powerful. I love the saw. I opted for the corded version. The big battery just adds weight and I don’t need portability.
Abdul Reilly (verified owner) –
It’s very light to hold, but is constructed as well or even better than other name brand saws I have purchased. And it the power it has (is) stronger than alot of the higher horse power saws. I would suggest this saw to anyone. This is for the professional framer or the everyday around the house job

This is a great little saw.easier to use as it is lighter weight.it is also very well built.has more than enough power to cut through plywood and osb panels.also really like the super thin kerf of the ridgid saw blades.

This is a very nice little saw. Lightweight, accurate, and easy to hold and use. Plenty of speed and power due to the medium size blade. Used it once to make 1/2 dozen 80″ long cuts on MDF doors and the provided blade worked fine.

Just bought this saw and like it a lot. Lightweight but solid, easy to adjust depth of cut and bevel angle. Unfortunately, the left edge of the base plate has a bow in it, so it won’t sit flat against a speed square. I’m probably going to return it and hopefully get another one that has a straight edge on the base plate. So close to being an excellent product. Why is it so hard for saw manufacturers to make a decent base plate? This isn’t rocket science.
