RIDGID introduces the 3-1/2 in. Full-Size Palm Nailer. This nailer is compatible with 4d – 16d common bulk nails 1-1/2 in. – 3-1/2 in. long. It has a magnetic guide for precise fastener placement and a tool-free micro adjustable depth-of-drive to give you accurate depth while protecting your work surface. It is ideal where space prevents hammer swings or the use of bulkier tools and for positive placement applications. It operates at 50 psi -120 psi air pressure and has enough power to drive a 3-1/2 in. nail into solid wood. This tool is compact and features an optimal weight, 2.9 lbs. aluminum body with a zinc top cap for smooth drives. The adjustable hand strap and new and innovative Hex Grip texture will give you a comfortable and secure grip in every application. All of these features are backed by RIDGID’s industry leading Lifetime Service Agreement. That means Free Parts, Free Service, For Life. Included with the Palm Nailer are a swivel quick connect, oil, wrench, and an operator’s manual.

This palm nailer is a time saver. I have used it to nail lap joints with 3″ nails in a confined 12″ on center situation. It operates flawlessly and is quite ergonomic. My wife also had an opportunity to use it and was equally impressed. My only complaint would be that there isn’t a dust cap for the air nozzle. Perhaps product registration could be a little easier also. I would buy again or recommend, if you have a need to save time and effort nailing or a tight area to drive a nail.

Bought this palm nailer last night and put it to use today on a job. I drove in about forty 3 1/2″ galvanized nails into pressure treated 4×4’s and 2×6’s and it performed flawlessly. Toenailing takes a little more finesse but it’s not difficult. The magnet that holds the nails into place is strong…none of the nails fell out on me. It’s comfortable in the hand, right or left and it drives in nails quickly. It has a very easy to use 3 setting depth-of-drive adjustment dial to set the nail depth of choice. This palm nailer made my job so much easier today. For only $60 it’s well worth the investment. Very happy with this purchase!

It may be larger and heavier than others, but it’s ruggedness and power is superior. My other palm nailer struggles and will not fit a 16d nail, the Ridgid has no problems driving nails of various sizes all day.

This was my first palm nailer. I’ve seen them on TV and thought that would be great for tight areas where you really can’t swing a hammer. That’s true, but this nailer gives me the precision that I could never achieve with a traditional hammer. This is so EASY compared to what I’ve been using in the past. The performance is excellent for things like joist hanger nails. I’m an old dude and anything that makes my job easier is a real blessing! Well built, great performance, does what it’s supposed to do.
