RIDGID introduces the 3-1/2 in. Full-Size Palm Nailer with 1/4 in. 50 ft. Lay Flat Air Hose. The 3-1/2 in. Full-Size Palm Nailer is compatible with 4d – 16d common bulk nails 1-1/2 in. – 3-1/2 in. long. It has a magnetic guide for precise fastener placement and a tool-free adjustable depth-of-drive to give you accurate depth while protecting your surface. It operates at 50 PSI -120 PSI air pressure and has enough power to drive a 3-1/2 in. nail into wood. The hand strap and Hex Grip Micro Texture provide a comfortable and secure grip in every application. Backed by RIDGID’s industry leading Lifetime Service Agreement, The Palm Nailer includes a swivel quick connect, oil, wrench, and an operator’s manual. The 1/4 in. 50 ft. Lay Flat Air Hose has a unique lay flat design that allows it to keep its shape, is kink resistant, and is non-tangling. At just over 3 lbs. for a 50 ft. hose, its lightweight design makes it easier for you to maneuver. Heavy-duty 360° swivel fittings with bend restrictors make the usual weakest point one of this hose’s strengths. It may be larger and heavier than others, but it’s ruggedness and power is superior. My other palm nailer struggles and will not fit a 16d nail, the Ridgid has no problems driving nails of various sizes all day.

Worked like a charm. Not sure why I waited all this time to own a palm nailer. Used it to resurface an old deck which required additional bracing in tight spaces. This is a great device. Did notice that the nailer leaked air initially until I banged it lightly against the deck (I learned this from reading a review on the web).

Tool works very good and is the perfect size/weight. I was gonna pick up the mini air nailer by porter cable, I’m glad I went with this one! Works great for framing! Hard to tell if you actually hit the stud sometimes though and if you hit a knot in the wood, the nail can bend and get jammed, but removal isn’t too bad. Overall great tool!
