RIDGID introduces the 3-1/2 in. Full-Size Palm Nailer with 1/4 in. 50 ft. Lay Flat Air Hose. The 3-1/2 in. Full-Size Palm Nailer is compatible with 4d – 16d common bulk nails 1-1/2 in. – 3-1/2 in. long. It has a magnetic guide for precise fastener placement and a tool-free adjustable depth-of-drive to give you accurate depth while protecting your surface. It operates at 50 PSI -120 PSI air pressure and has enough power to drive a 3-1/2 in. nail into wood. The hand strap and Hex Grip Micro Texture provide a comfortable and secure grip in every application. Backed by RIDGID’s industry leading Lifetime Service Agreement, The Palm Nailer includes a swivel quick connect, oil, wrench, and an operator’s manual. The 1/4 in. 50 ft. Lay Flat Air Hose has a unique lay flat design that allows it to keep its shape, is kink resistant, and is non-tangling. At just over 3 lbs. for a 50 ft. hose, its lightweight design makes it easier for you to maneuver. Heavy-duty 360° swivel fittings with bend restrictors make the usual weakest point one of this hose’s strengths. Unlike other hoses, the Lay Flat Hose is able to flex in cold weather, which allows you to keep working regardless of your climate. This Rigid Full Size Palm Nailer is an amazing air tool. I recently used to to drive long 16d galvanized common nails to reinforce wobbly railing posts attached to joists underneath the deck of a beach house. A regular hammer or nail gun would not work due to extremely tight quarters. It is easy to use, powerful, and saved time. I recommend it to everyone who has wood projects and owns an air compressor.

Worked as i wanted to nail in Joist Hangers with the 1 1/2″ galvanized nails for them with being corner nailing it is hard to keep the thumb and fingers out of the way of conventional hammering. This is a replacement of one I had before so Happy with my choice.

I have only used a palm nailer a few times before I bought the Ridgid Palm Nailer. The others were smaller and vibrated quite a bit. This nailer does not shake you to death like others may do. I have been driving 16d and 20d nails for my current project with ease. This nailer is especially good for installing joist hangers in small places. It drove 10d, 16d and 20d nails effortlessly. The magnetic tip insures easy placement of nails quickly. I also used it to finish drive nails my framing nailer did not sink deeply due to compressor issues. I did a few “test drives” with larger finishing nails as well. Be careful of bending thinner nails. Use less pressure( 80-85 psi vs the 100 I normally use). At 100-110, you can drive a nail to China if necessary. Overall, a great palm nailer, no issues or complaints.
