Overall I am a very satisfied customer. The only negative is that it won’t cut through a 1 by 8 board. If that is a concern you may want to go with a 12 inch saw. Also an earlier model had a laser to mark the cut line. This has a light that makes a shadow line from the blade to mark the cut line. In bright sunlight you can’t see it.

Overall, this saw provides great value. I had two large rooms to install crown molding in and preferred to own for long term use rather rent. This Rigid saw hit the mark in terms of being versatile and accurate for the price. Super easy to setup, change the blade, and operate. A few minor drawbacks include: the clamp provided has a small bracket and is wobbly so it is important to ensure material is properly seated prior to a cutting (I also feel Rigid should have provided two clamps for better support), the LED shadow isn’t all that great and a laser sight would have been much better for precision, and the dust collection port didn’t catch enough (I wasn’t expecting a pristine work area but I think more material should have been captured in the bag).

Like most Ridgid products, this is a well functioning miter saw with some great features: The LED cut mark light works quite well, the angled motor to allow right side cuts is great. Of course the Lifetime Service Agreement. The only problem with this saw is the sound is much louder than our other miter saws in our shop. We have called to mention it.
