I am very pleased with the RIDGID Universal Mobile Miter Saw Stand with Mounting Braces. It is well built and heavy duty. It is easy to operate – easy open and close with a tap on the foot pedal. Even with a heavy miter saw attached, the scissor design makes it a breeze to position in the up or closed position without any heavy lifting or maneuvering. It locks easily in place. My Dewalt 12″ miter saw is mounted to it – like lifting a feather. When in the closed position it can be moved around on the large wheels much like a hand truck and can be stored in the upright position (with miter saw attached) safely and easily. The extendable braces on each side can slide out a lot to support a 14 -16 foot board and the supports can adjust up or down to be perfectly flush with the surface of your miter saw.

Nicely made stand good components and brand but had a problem where arm wouldn’t extend because metal indent meant to stop arm from over extending was hitting a screw and wouldn’t let it extend. Had to drill out the indent but seems fine now.

Purchased this for the 12″ Rigid Sliding saw I bought at same time. Assembly was pretty straight forward. MSUV handles saw just fine. Large wheels make for moving it and saw around easy. Negative I have with it, had some minor plastic parts fall out, pretty sure wasn’t assembled all that well at factory or came loose during shipping. One problem that couldn’t be remedied easy was one latch kept falling off. Caused by stripped stud on chassis that wouldn’t catch threads on plastic nut.

After reading the reviews I decided to take the plunge! I noticed on this page there was a video with the pictures… low and behold it was an assembly video…I put it together in about 15 minutes! as far as bolts being to long or short…this was a simple fix with my angle grinder…I recommend the stand seems sturdy and comes with a lifetime warranty SO LONG AS YOU REGISTER IT WITH RIGID!!!! Also as far as it being balanced….no issues here just make sure you get your saw on the locks and sitting balanced… Good luck all and don’t go chopping off them fingers!

I couldn’t get the unit to set up correctly. Came from the factory with the middle bolts on the wrong side of the crossing pieces. Unit wouldn’t set up. Had to take it all apart. Also the slide out extension knob is junk they don’t work and the one side handle hits the bar so it’s pretty useless. Other then that it does the job.

Opens and closes extremely well. Allows me to move saw out of the way when I need to use other tools. My only issue is that if I want to make a lot of same cuts, the ends are not square and causes my pieces to have a diag cut and not be at the correct size.
