Assembly of the product took time but the parts and hardware where well marked which made assembly easy. The saw came almost perfectly aligned which made final adjustments a breeze. The motor is quiet and smooth and I don’t have to worry about disturbing the neighbors anymore. .My disappointments were in the front rail and rip fence, when the rip fence was placed to the saw blade to check if it was at zero with the rail it was not and the instructions to bring the fence to zero didn’t work do to the mounting holes. The other disappointment was in the removal of the foam block supporting the motor for shipping, I was not able to remove it according to the instructions all it did was jam the block tighter into the motor causing me to have to chisel the block out. but overall I am very happy with the product.

Happy with the saw so far. Took about two hours to assemble and another hour or so to square everything up. Overall a well built saw. Definitely a must to watch the assembly videos on YouTube to avoid a few wrong turns and save a bit of time. First cut was through a three in seasoned maple slab, no issue at all. Definitely recommend.

I have been looking at this saw and the Delta one for about 3 months now. After reading reviews for both saws I went with the Ridgid 4520 mostly because it was on sale at Home Depot. I was apprehensive at first because some of the reviews stated there was a lot of issues with assembly and operation. The assembly was not bad at all and the instruction manual was really easy to follow. The hardware packet was labeled very well. I completed the assembly in about 2 hrs and spent about another 30 mins tweaking and fine tuning the table wings and the rip fence. I had to just the riving knife and the saw blade to zero. The first cut I made went very well and the saw performed great. I did have to adjust the rip fence gauge to match the finished width of the board I cut. It was very easy to do. I really like the mobile wheels for moving the saw around my small shop. I am very pleased with my purchase!!

Only problem I have is with the throat plate. It is not the same height at the end and if you don’t push down on the board it will catch. Ordered a zero clearance plate to eliminate this problem. Other than that I love this saw. Cuts smooth, accurate and is quiet. Fence is solid.

RIDGID…. 13 Amps 10 in. R4520 Pro Cast Iron Table Saw. With 30 in Rip capacity this saw was easy to assemble all the hardware and easy to follow instructions are included. This saw is totally enclosed and has a fan cooled 3.25HP induction motor with a blade break. The motor at 3450 RPM is very powerful and is Very Quiet. Dust control is reasonable. The feature I like is the Push pedal Caster makes it easy to move around. The Saw is very stable weighting in at 267 lbs. has no vibration and is very sturdy. The Milled and polished cast Iron Table makes for a perfectly flat surface. The included Rip Fence and Miter gauge are both accurate and easy to use. This Saw sits at a perfect height for me and is easy and a pleasure to use. I feel I will get many years of use out of this saw. It is a Great Product.

Ended up returning the saw after 6 weeks of use. Manufacture defect or not, I encountered three issues; riving knife lever, riving knife adjustment with improper clearances from the trunion, and then the blade height adjuster became stuck which caused the return. Unfortunate, because the power and fence accuracy was good. Great service from the Home Depot staff through all the experience.

Received the R4520 table saw 2 weeks ago. Assembly was straightforward with YouTube videos supplementing the included manuals. I’m very satisfied with the quality for the price. I wanted more than a contractors saw but did not want to pay for a cabinet saw. The saw is heavy so having it shipped directly to my house was great.
