Model 4520, what an improvement over my last saw, heavy and solid, enough power for what i need, did have to upgrade electrical and put in a 20 amp t slot plug. Built in mobile base is very helpful, had to make a few adjustments upon assembly, the fence and the bevel zero gauge. You will not find a better contractor saw in canada for the price

This table saw is a great table saw. It is a heavy table saw which I like as it adds to it’s sturdiness. It was pretty straight forward as far as assembly goes. After a careful set up of the blade/fence and a wax job on the table it was time to power up. Wearing eye and ear protection, I hit the switch and it came alive! I had run a piece of 6″ x 18″ across one edge and one face of my jointer and then cut a few pieces on the table saw. Impressive as in perfect cuts…….on the money! This is my first table saw and I have waited 77 years to get one. I am very happy I chose this RIDGID 13 Amp 10 in. Professional Cast Iron Table Saw and if you are considering purchasing a table saw you will not be disappointed with this one.

I dont understand the bad reviews on the saw. Had mine for 4 years now with zero problems. Yes, assembly is complicated, plan on spending a half a day getting it all set up. Had to work through a few minor alignment issues with the base where the bolts didnt line up perfectly, but this was minor as you can still get everying together and snugged up nicely. I did change the electrical out to a 240v cord and never had issues with motor operation, the extra juice helps it plow through oak with no issues (use the right blade for your wood and cut). Bottom line, its not the best cabinet saw money can buy, but at the pricepoint for a semi-avid woodworker this saw will perform at a high level (was also $500 a few years ago, $750 now is a bit high). Only complaint is that the blade guard is crap, but i took that off and know how to safely operate a table saw so not an issue for me. I highly suspect most of the bad reviews are user error with this saw. This is a large machine, take your time to set it up properly, purchase high quality blades, and it will not let you down.

I’ve owned this saw for a few years now, and I have never regretted my purchase. It has far more going for it than against. My model is able to convert to 220V, but I am using it on a regular 120V 15A circuit.Overview:Over all, this is a great saw for the weekend warrior and for medium duty regular use. It was pretty easy to assemble, the quality of the parts was good for its price, and it works great for everything. Cutting softwoods is a breeze, even at very high thicknesses, and cutting hardwoods (even exotics) is okay with a few caveats. First, if you are cutting heavy hardwoods, you should make sure you have a thin kerf, very high quality blade designed for that type of service. Anything too dull, aggressively raked, or with too many teeth, and your feed rate will have to be so slow that it will scorch badly. I also recommend getting some aerosol dry lubricant for your blade if you’re cutting anything with high resin content (such as Rosewood).Pros:· Great price (even when not on sale)· Pretty good quality; I mean it’s not a SawStop or Grizzly Industrial, but it’s less than a quarter of the price!· Good, flat, solid table· Plenty of power for all purposes (assuming you have an appropriate blade installed)· Solid adjustment system for height/angle/fence· Fence guides have standard T tracks to accept all sorts of jigs and add-ons· Wheels/Casters are a godsend for use in small work shops when you have to juggle tools around, excellent lifting mechanism· Steel table extension is a great spot to cut/mount other tools like a router (etc)· Riving knife/Guard system is clever and well designed· Power cord is long enough, and the power switch/safety/etc is all well though-out and functional· Remarkably quiet operationCons· Supplied blade is pretty poor – get yourself an assortment of blade types for your use cases· Fence isn’t amazing – it’s a bit challenging to get it square to the table – always double check that it’s square before making a cut and adjust when appropriate· Angle adjustment wheel doesn’t really lock well in the 90 degree position – any other angle is fine, just that the brake barely engages at 90 for some reason. I’ve picked up one of those square magnetic angle gauges (there are tons, just search for “magnetic angle gauge” at your vendor of choice. It’s a godsend for getting perfect angles every time with zero fuss.· Blade throat table insert design is slightly non-standard, so getting a zero clearance insert or making your own types of inserts (for dado stacks, etc) is more difficult than it should be· Machining of the heavy steel top isn’t perfect, so I ended up sanding it with 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper and some mineral oil to smoothen it out· The caster lifting mechanism doesn’t allow you to set it down very gently (but it hasn’t caused me any real trouble over the years)· When cutting super hard exotic woods (Pau Ferro, Ipe, Bloodwood, etc), it can struggle (on 120V) and can pop your circuit breaker if you feed too fast or if your blade isn’t super sharpIn the end, I highly recommend this saw if you’re like me and like to have a decent tool in my garage to use when inspiration to make sawdust strikes. It may not be good enough for a cabinet shop that builds a ton of furniture, but it’s good enough for weekend warriors like me!

I give this saw 5 stars in its price range, you will not find a better entry level professional saw anywhere near this price. If you will take the time to set all the adjustments accurately you will get excellent results, my saw is vibration free with good power. It does everything very well and unless you are willing to spend north of $2,000 this is a fine value.

I have owned this saw for several years. It has been a dependable and valuable piece of equipment. The Gibraltar mobile system makes moving the weight of the iron deck a breeze. I’d buy this again.

The saw was a little difficult to assemble but I am really pleased with the operation of the saw once it was up and in running condition.

Impressed so far. This site is very acceptable for the price range it took a while to set up but it seems to be holding it’s true now that I do have it tuned in. With a few simple upgrades this stable so I can be the equivalent of one much more expensive than what it is. The only thing I’m not super impressed with the stand, but I always planned on putting it into a custom built table saw station of my own design. I would buy again, highly recommend.

Purchased yesterday. Rear rail bolt alignment is incorrect. Assembly does require some time but is well documented. Quality seems good for the price point. Will see how well their customer service is tomorrow to correct the issue. Team at the Clinton, IA Home Depot were fantastic.
