Relatively light use but held up well, ergonomic, and pretty light weight for overhead work, would recommend.

I read the reviews and decided to get this despite the poor reviews. The bit did strip out quickly, so I replaced it with a tempered one. It took a bit to get the depth adjusted. You do have to ensure that you are pretty dead straight before engaging but I would suspect that would be the same with most guns 🙂 Once I got the depth set, worked like a charm. I don’t do all that much from a drywalling standpoint, but so far have found this easier than a drill with dimple setter.

I’ve wondering how good these screw guns worked. No I’m wondering why I waited so long to get one. Plus, lifetime warranty from Ridgid? Amazing!

The setting took a little bit of time to get the depth I wanted. Once the setting was set the tool ran flawlessly. With three different people running it there was no difference in the result even though the was a difference in experience between the three of us. I looked at dewalt before purchasing the ridged and almost purchased its heavy duty decking/drywall gun but was too hung up on the price for the amount of use it would get, which right now is a basement finish, deck install, and fence install. With the year warranty I really couldn’t pass it up. It has turned out to be a time saver and a very good tool.

Ran well for hanging 50 sheets of drywall by myself. Kept the depth settings for screws without having to reset tool.

Great value, got two for $99.99. Works like charm, best bang for the buck. Would have been a 5 star review, had it came with a case.

Bought this used, had maybe 50 screws used on it. It looked new. I love my ridgid table saw so thought why not. I thought it was me with inconsistent pressure on the gun, but like others had said, the gun screw depth kept changing, quite frustrating. I have used screw guns a lot over the years. I found the cord on this screw gun way to heavy and stiff. It stayed coiled up the whole time I used it, you need a cord hat will relax, so your not fighting it all the time. The gun is ok for maybe a basement reno, but definitely not for a professional use.

We are building a home using ICF wall construction. Because of the ICF wall the vinyl siding had to be screwed on. I needed a screw gun that I could control the tightness of the screw consistently for the vinyl to move. I came up with the idea of using a drywall screw gun. I purchased the Ridge Heavy duty VSR Drywall Electric screw gun and have been extremely pleased with the gun and I have achieved the consistency I desired and how tight to set the screws. There have also been area such as on the gables and parts of the garage where there was conventional framing and after using the Ridgid VSR Drywall Gun in those areas too I found the installing vinyl siding using the Ridgid VSR Drywall gun is actually faster than nailing and the ability to correctly set the screw tightness against the vinyl siding is much better than nailing. I also really like the belt clip. It has been very handy keeping it close and freeing up my hands when needed. I have also been impressed at how light and tough the Ridgid drywall gun is.

I have had this gun for a few months now. Excellent gun for the price. Well balanced. Lots of power. Lighted plug is a nice bonus. My only complaint is the lack of a case. Mind you that can be said for all drywall screwguns. All in all a great screwgun.

Perfect tool for hanging drywall for a weekend warrior. Probably not for a commercial installer

Nice drywall screwdriver for homeowners. Inexpensive and lightweight, make sure you have plenty of bits as it will use them.

works great , but I wish the power cord was longer like other brands are.
