I read the reviews and would have bought the senco but the store didn’t stock it. So I figured I’d give this a try even with the reviews saying the screws were going in half way or jamming, etc. It did take a little bit of playing around to get used to it. This gun is excellent!!! I wanted one because of my bad back and screwing plywood over a wood plank sub floor. It sinks the 1 5/8″ course screws like nothing. I am screwing the plywood in 8″ squares. That’s about 98 screws per board. The last 4×8 piece of plywood I did I decided to time and not really go crazy, but fairly fast and taking enough time to make sure to stay square with even pressure. It took 3 minutes and that’s with loading more screws in the gun!!!! I may have had one not going in square stay half way up. Big deal. I can’t believe I didn’t buy one years ago. I can’t wait for sheet rock. It’s going to be like having an extra hand! And 800 screws cost around $19ish. 945 screws(5 lbs) cost about the same. A no-brainer! Make sure to load the screws properly through the slot in the handle(i didn’t at 1st), and make sure to use the proper foot. One for sheet rock, one for wood. The gun basically screws in like a drill, not an impact. And also…I didn’t keep the trigger pulled. I start the trigger about the same time as when I’m pushing down into the wood. But I am using 1 5/8 screws in soft wood. So just play with it.

It has work great. I have hang drywall on a ceiling and and installed 4’x8’x1″ sheets of sound proofing on a wall.

The sliding nose mechanism is too short and unstable resulting in multiple miss-fed screws. Poor bearing surfaces made it difficult to actuate the screw advance and required lubricant. But it was still better than hand loading a dimple bit one at a time.

Once I figured out how to use it correctly it worked well. Still a few missed screws but no problem. My son just couldn’t figure it out. You either get it or you don’t.

Recommend but with qualifications. The price of the product was very competitive to others, but the driver did not always line up well with the screw head and thus screws were shoved to the side. When it did line up it worked great, but I can honestly say that was maybe 75-80% of the time.

After reading the reviews for this tool it worked exactly as I expected it to if you get crooked it doesn’t put them clear in but so long as you can stay straight keep the drill wrapped up it works wonderfully

The square bit supplied with the driver was not a size 2 as stated so I had to go back to HD and purchased a replacement unit. Lost a day or time on my project and had to spend another $8. Store would not provide the replacement bit under any warranty. Works well now.

Out of the box I noticed a well constructed carrying case with drill inside. The belt of screws loaded easily and quickly go to work. This drill works at its best when you continue one after another without a pause in between. At first I was a little hesitant about how to use the drill, but after some practice I felt comfortable with it. The best feature I liked about this drill is the automatic feed of each screw. This is why I bough the drill and it held up to my expectations. The drill is light and easy to hold.I have had this tool for five years and it is still going strong.

Just finished building a dock with this tool, driving 2″ square drive deck screws. We were also using my OLD, Senco battery powered screwgun with the same screws.I have used screwguns for years, and was disappointed in this one in spite of the overall quality of the tool. The feed mechanism is not precise, and as a result places the screws inaccurately. Not a problem most of the time, but in tight locations, and at the ends of boards, it was hard to do a professional job. This is a pretty good tool, but I would spend the extra money on the Senco corded gun for half again as much money. The Senco is more precise, and with smoother operation. I wish I could return this tool to the store!

Works great and seems rugged. Only have 4 days use on it so far. No problems yet.
