Drill was not as powerful as I needed. The associate said it would be more than I needed for around the house. It struggled to drill lag bolts through a 2×4. What I paid for it in the end makes sense for it’s lacking in power. Oh well.

The drill is powerful, but the drill bit won’t stay in the drill (which has a key-less chuck) when I try to pull the bit out. Reversing the drill helps, but it’s a pain to pause, flip the reversing switch, extract the bit, and then reverse again to continue with the next operation. I don’t know if it’s because the key-less chuck exterior is plastic, but my previous DeWalt drill (which was all metal) didn’t have this problem when it was new. I’m hoping the lifetime warranty will make this drill worthwhile in the long term.

Keyless chuck failed to grip Torx bit tightly. I’m strong but couldn’t turn the chuck enough to prevent bit from slipping back into to jaws. Constant battle with the chuck.
