I have been using cordless drills regularly since the first Makita in the 80s. When I saw this I was getting it with the expectation of keeping it in my shop only doing light pilot hole size drilling. It turned out to be great for doing all my drilling and screw driving needs. Far more power than I expected, and with such a small battery I was surprised how long it lasted. The only drawback that I have run into is the location of the LED. With drills 1/8″ and smaller (the ones where you really need to be more precise) the chuck blocks the light where the tip of the drill is. It can be frustrating.

I have most if not all of the 12-volt JobMax tools. Found this drill in a clearance section, and it used the same batteries as my JobMax.
