This RIDGID JobMax 3/8 in. 12-Volt Cordless Drill/Driver Head features a variable speed motor that generates up to 550 RPM and 120 in. lbs. of torque. A right-angle head design helps solve close-quarter drilling and driving problems commonly found on the job site. A 3/8 in. single-sleeve chuck holds bits tightly and securely. The lightweight head uses lithium-ion batteries that recharge in 30 minutes to save down time.

I needed to drill some holes in a tight area and I figured I would give this head a try instead of having to purchase a while new drill; I had the cordless main body. The head worked fine. Just remember the RPMs of this unit are not as fast as a typical high speed drill. This worked just fine to drill holes in my cabinet to enable me to route power cables and network wire. If I was doing professional work I might buy a dedicated unit.

This unit is perfect however I will be returning it because the drill unit I bought it for did not perform as expected it is designed for slow speed and not designed for for high speed work like drilling and driving screws n such… otherwise this unit would have worked perfectly…

I bought this tool about a week ago. I planned on putting up several shelves in my garage and as I started the job, my 18v cordless drill was struggling to screw in the 3” wood screws and I was also looking for a slimmer option to drive in hex bolts to steel angle I was using to support a couple of the shelves. The Rigid Multi Tool was already one of my favorite tools since buying it in April 2020. Now it’s my favorite drill/driver tool since purchasing this attachment head. I severely underestimated its power and torque when I first used it to screw in a hex bolt and it almost pulled me off the ladder when it quickly secured the bolt. I adjusted the driving speed after that and had no problems. This tool definitely outperformed my previous go-to drill/driver and I’m glad I picked it up before I got too far into my home improvement project.

Having a compact solution for a right angle drill that can be swapped out for an osillation tool is fantastic. The power of the drill and speed might not be as impressive as others that are available but it does a great job regardless.
