This is a solid tool when used with the 12 volt Ridgid Jobmax. The tool works with greater ease with the Ridgid 18 volt Jobmax driver. Now I have a recommendation for prospective buyers. Unless you were in my position and need the tool for work today or next week WAIT! Ridgid is in the process of readying an OCTANE Jobmax driver for these tools. If the Jobmax tools work as much improved as I found they did from 12 to 18 volt the OCTANE boost should be substantial. Now the increase of power and effectiveness is only a guess on my part. However after seeing the increase of all the Jobmax abilities stepping up to 18 volt and being an owner of the MegaMax System. I would wait to see which heads will be available with the OCTANE introduction!

Solid and very durable, works perfect just like scissors, doesn’t waste any material. I have cut 100’s pieces of sheet metal and it has performed perfect. Very well built.

Attached to my Ryobi multi tool and cut a bunch of aluminum sheet metal for project and it is great.

Very easy to use, strong for ducting work and other thin wall cutting in a straight line, doesn’t turn super easy but gets the job done much faster than manual sheers.

I gave this five stars even though I haven’t used it yet… I like everything so far that I have purchased for this job max tool.

The shears cut like a dream. And to have the option of all the other power heads with the jobmax is awesome. I tried cutting thru 30ga. And it was like a hot knife thru butter. Tried 28ga. It it was as well.

Excellent value component for the JobMax line.

This thing is awesome! Straight lines or curves is no problem for this attachment. It saves so much time instead of ripping wall flashing with snips. My hands really appreciate it, plus no cuts! Quiet and smooth operation in a heavy duty, small head with a surprising feed rate. Rigid knocked this out of the park. Well done!

I’ve only been using this for about a month, and I’m already loving it. I use this for cutting large rolls of vinyl flooring into smaller, ten-inch sheets. This attachment makes the job much easier. My only concern is how difficult it might be to find replacement cutting blades when the time comes.

Work great for metal roof job I was doing

Makes clean and fast cuts in steel and aluminum. Not too noisy. The only limitation I noticed is that the material needs to be relatively flat.

I am happy with the shear head and believe it will be very beneficial in future projects.

Works great, just not for my particular application. Cuts amazing on a flat surface, which is what it is intended for. But I was hoping to cut curved plastic pieces and it did not work for that. Still a great design, just wish they offered it in a 3-tip version instead of a 2-bladed shear.

Works great and is a nice addition to the JobMax set.

Bought this to use on a steel siding job so i could do cutouts on the plank. They work great! Love when a new tool pays for itself. The jobmax is my new favorite tool.

The Shear Head works VERY well… It’s smooth, fast and cuts clean… I now have and/or have used the entire line of Ridgid JobMax tools, with base units in 12v, 18v and corded… After using them for three months on a major renovation project ALL the tool heads do a great job, regardless of the base unit and this shear head is no different… Word up!… If I had to do it all over again, I would go with the 18v Octane base unit with two 3ah octane batteries and all the tool heads I could find. The number of tasks you can get done with the JobMax system will make you wonder how you ever managed without them.
