The Shear Head is tough enough to cut through a wide variety of materials, including 18-Gauge galvanized steel. This tool is a must have for your JobMax system. Backed by the Industry Leading Lifetime Service Agreement, this JobMax Shear Head includes two steel blades and a hex wrench.

I bought this to cut sheets of FRP fiberglass/plastic boards. It did a wonderful job. The edge did get caught a few times but all I had to do was pull back an inch and move forward. I also used it to cut a small piece of 18ga aluminum sheet-metal. Smooth as silk. Nice addition to my Jobmax tool kit

Worked very well. Goes straight like a hot knife through butter. Handles ribs of sheet metal a little harder but once you figure out how to hold it, it goes pretty well.

The shear head was an excellent addition to the toolbox. Had to cut several 40ft sheets of roofing steel. Much easier to handle than the drill attachment shears.

Cuts through metal roofing like butter but has some difficulty going over the ridges. Had to really press down on the metal and distort it to cut over the big humps. I’m sure with a little practice I could find a better technique.

I had bought this to cut metal roofing as shown in the photos advertising. Like the other tools that fit on the motor tool it fit great. For cutting flat pieces of roofing metal it worked good. However since the roofing had groves in it the tool could not cut through the groves or any bend in the metal. This was why I had bought it and it disappointed me. For cutting flat metal it is 4 star for cutting anything with a grove zero stars.

Absolutely like a hot knife through butter. This head cuts through sheet metal like noting at all. The blades are extremely sharp, and makes the task very easy. Even if you are cutting different gauges, the blades can be adjusted to accommodate. Not only is it very well built, i was really surprised with how quiet this head actually was. I used many of the larger brands before, but this was so simple to use, and not loud at all. I also love that this fits on the new OCTANE JobMax model. If you are into sheet metal work or fabrication, definitely check this out as it will make your life so much easier!
