This radio is the second radio to use the RIDGID Radio App. The Mini Bluetooth Radio also features a USB charging port for smartphones and other devices and an Aux-In connection making it MP3 player compatible. The 2.0 Ah battery will give the user up to 2X more runtime and has 2X longer life compared to standard lithium-ion batteries, and the 18-Volt Charger is 100% Compatible with all RIDGID 18-Volt tools and batteries. Backed by the Industry Leading Lifetime Service Agreement, the 18-Volt Mini Bluetooth Radio with Radio App includes two AAA Batteries, and auxiliary cable, a 2.0 Ah Battery, an 18-Volt Charger, and an operator’s manual.

I was really surprised on how easy it is to use and that it connects to Bluetooth so simply. However the base is a little loud and becomes distorted when the volume is all the way up for a small shed or small work space is perfect but anything larger and it just doesn’t do the trick

I got these tools cause I have 1 drill w/o impact. I got the 1st at $99 drill (2) 1.5 A-H batteries and brief case style bag and d-e bit. So since I did not have an impact driver I got this set as sort of my musical repair kit 2 fix my speakers of my p/a, loose screws (if any) on my amps or 2 hang things in the choir loft of the church ( hooks 4 mic cables and such). Also 2 repair mic/music stands there as well.

I’ve used the radio a few times so far. The sound is good, the bluetooth works fine. Being able to charge my phone on the radio is a bonus. I’ve had it on for a few hours at a time and the 2Ah battery will show half charged. Just remember it is a basic work radio, not a boom box.
