The RIDGID Radio App truly separates this radio from the competition: It lets you keep and change preset stations, control bass and treble settings, check RIDGID battery life, record preset voice alarms, and more. With the app, you can stream music wirelessly from your phone while charging it at the same time in the integrated USB port. With registration, this radio is backed by the Industry’s Only Lifetime Service Agreement. The 18-Volt Jobsite Radio with Bluetooth Wireless Technology includes two AAA batteries, an auxiliary cable, and an operator’s manual. The included 18-Volt 1.5 Ah Compact Lithium-Ion Battery is equipped with an on board fuel gauge, increased temperature range for powering tools and improved run time. I haven’t had it that long yet but it works great! It’s a pretty cool they way you control it with the app. The app work really well. I was impressed with it. The last little radio I had was only battery operated so it’s really night to be able to plug it in and run it all day!

I like the radio. Loud and sensitive enough to pick up some weak stations in my area. The unit gets three stars due to the quality of the bluetooth control app. The app is what tipped my decision to buy the radio. For some inexplicable reason, the app will not allow you to set it up unless you give it access to your location data. HD, or anyone else involved in this radio have no legitimate need to know where their customers are at at all times. To be absolutely clear, the radio is easily a 4 star, but the app is 1 star.The radio will not charge any batteries, which for the cost of the electronics, to do so is purely a product positioning tactic. I knew this going in and only point it out because review guidelines request likes and dislikes.
