The battery in this kit gets up to 4X the runtime of standard lithium-ion batteries and is built for high performance and protected from overheating, overloading, and overcharging through the Triple Protection Electronics design. The chemistry allows for maximum performance in temperatures as low as -4 degrees and up to 120 degrees F, so you can confidently use them year-round. Lightweight tool but not holding back on the power, especially when paired with an Octane battery. Chip bag is a bit bulky and in the way but it works surprisingly well and is great for indoor use. I typically use this planer for door and window installs and it is fantastic…best feature, no cord!

This planer is very easy to use and has plenty of power. The depth is easy to adjust with the front knob and you can really take off material in a hurry if needed. One cool feature is the dust collection. You can switch the bag or vacuum hose to either side of the tool!
