Lightweight tool but not holding back on the power, especially when paired with an Octane battery. Chip bag is a bit bulky and in the way but it works surprisingly well and is great for indoor use. I typically use this planer for door and window installs and it is fantastic…best feature, no cord!

I love my new Octane Planner, its easy to use and surprisingly you can use it on hardwoods like Oak and Walnut with no issues. It has the usual great qualities as other Rigid tools, its comfortable to use, the ease of making adjustments and with having the dust collector go on either side is a new added bonus that I wish some of my other tools had. I had to plan down 10 old antique doors to make them fit into a new home and with using the 9 amp battery i never had to change the battery and it still had 50% of it charge. I would recommend this tool to anyone who has the use for it, another Rigid winner.
