This is a great tool, quiet and powerful. It seems made for installing screws more than removing them. Several times on maximum power setting, I have tightened bolts & nuts into steel that it will not loosen. Battery lasts a long time and holds charge for weeks if needed.

I bought a Ridgid impact about 8 years ago and it worked great. I recently replaced it with this new model as the old one was getting tired. It is great having the three different speeds to choose from. Sometimes you want to dial it down for more precision, or smaller jobs. This impact works fantastic and I would recommend. Ridgid makes quality tools, and I use them professionally.

I’ve been using my co-workers for months so i finally had to buy one of my own. Theres no need to worry about ear protection which is a huge deal for me. The impact does seem to be slower than standard, but it still drives and drills extremely quickly. Its a little puzzling, but it definitely still works great! The only downside would be that its a little rougher on your wrists than the standard “louder” models. Its hardly noticeable, but if you are someone who has wrist issues who doesn’t mind the noise, you may prefer one of the other options.
