I like the features as an upgrade to my older impact driver. I have had limited use so far but one negative observation is the pulse action vs the impact driver. Some friends and I were doing a wheelchair ramp recently and some of the less experienced helpers seemed to be having control problems. With the pulse driver, it seemed like the driver was twisting in their grip causing the bit to lose contact with the screws. They were not having the same difficulty with my older impact driver. I was able to control the driver ok but did notice the tendency for twist as opposed to the impact driver. I’m not certain that I would recommend it as an entry level driver.

I have only had time to use this for about an hour. It does drive screws and lag bolts faster than my x5 impact. It is also much quieter, which would be great for close neighbors, when trying to build a deck. Drive force is hard to control. Ridgid LSA is a headache.

I an a fine woodworker that specializes custom furniture. For how quiet it us ,this thing can drive with the milwakee all day long, especially with the Octane batteries now as an option. But, i highly recomend keeping the for snall, fine screws because it gives a little less force per hit, a little counter intuitive i know

Awesome I love it!! I use this to tool 24/7 7 days a week. The first one I was so loud that I had to wear ear plugs all the time. When I use this one it’s nice and quite. I don’t have to have the music so loud. The neighbors are even happy that I got this one.

I just saw my warranty info and it seems I’ve had this driver for almost 2 years now, time sure flies when you’re having fun (registered Dec. 2018). So I guess it’s time to finally give my thoughts on it. I wish I had just saved my money and invested in this tool first since it replaced a Ridgid gen 4 mechanical impact from the combo set that worked well but was extremely noisy. I’m a full time home service pro and have been for about 3-4 years now, so I use this almost daily (even weekends if the pay is right). That being said I’ve put this through its paces, mostly driving 4-6 in. lag bolts into studs for t.v. mounts, tightening anchor bolts for masonry work, or blowing holes through cement/hardi plank for security camera installs. This driver has done everything I asked it to do and more. It’s also so much quieter and more powerful than the previous impact it replaced which is great since small rooms mean higher sound pressure levels and/or the client’s kids are napping nearby. It’s been dropped from ladders and thrown to coworkers and it keeps coming back for more. Also, the LED’s are mounted in a much more convenient spot and are significantly brighter than the aforementioned impact; sometimes I don’t even take a flashlight with me when I go into dark, foreign attics, just this drill. Although my days in home service are coming to an end (Covid college grad.) I’ll still keep this tool in my car for emergency roadside tire changes or whatever life brings next for me. I would definitely buy again, luckily my lifetime service agreement won’t require me to. TL;DR I highly recommend it.

It’s true, this impact is MUCH less noisy than an impact with mechanical hammers in it, and has plenty of power to do the job. I have been using it outdoors on my property for fence, deck, and other projects. No worries about annoying the neighbors with loud impact noises. I highly recommend.

Great Product, extremely quiet with a good amount of power. 6 inch 3/8 lags no problem. More expensive then others, but in my opinion worth it. This is my second one, first one didn’t survive a fall from the top of a roof. As it shouldn’t have.
