Took a little getting use to since I only used the RIDGID screw/hammer drill before. I must say I was kicking myself for not buying this when I replace my fence. Drives smoothly and the staggered reverse is a nice feature. I purchased because I already had RIDGID 18V batteries and I’m not disappointed. I wouldn’t switch over from any other major brand if I had to buy the batteries.

I have used this to install 5″ long 5/16 lag bolts for decking, standard decking screws, broken loose rusted fasteners, 2×4 framing, etc. Having the different modes and speeds to switch from lets you really dial-in the tool to your specific application. Probably overkill for most of my needs but the extra power will always be there if I need it!
