Impact Driver features high performance brushless motors and advanced electronics that provide Best-in-Class power and intelligence. While providing increased performance with all RIDGID 18-Volt Batteries, OCTANE Tools provide maximum performance in high demand applications when paired with OCTANE Batteries. Paired with an OCTANE Battery, this Impact Driver gives an Industry Leading 2,400 in./lbs. of torque. The battery in this kit gets up to 4X the runtime of standard lithium-ion batteries and is built for high performance and protected from overheating, overloading, and overcharging through the Triple Protection Electronics design. The chemistry allows for maximum performance in temperatures as low as -4 degrees and up to 120 degrees F, so you can confidently use them year-round. The 18-Volt Charger features Rapid Charge Time, Smart Charging, Cold/Hot Warning, and Energy Save Mode. With registration, this kit is backed by the Industry’s Only Lifetime Service Agreement. This impact driver with its 6 mode setting is so far ahead of the rest of the industry standards when it comes to siding & other exterior screw installations it’s hard to understand why I have such an assortment from other manufacturers. Don’t get me wrong it does every impact installations that you might want an impact driver to accomplish. I’m sorry to say to the few who need a quick install driver bits, this driver actually needs you to lock your bit in place, as I personally feel it should be done. Having an impact driver that has a setting to stop driving a screw on contact, without hammering the impact hammers, is a big plus when driving screws into trim that you don’t want the screw more than flush. It works even better when driving the flat washer screws into hard board siding those screws must stop on contact. This impact does a perfect job of getting that job done right every time. It will do the same hanging rain gutters. The same goes for installing metal roofing by the ridges. There are hundreds of applications this impact driver excels at. This impact driver works with all of Ridgid’s 18 volt batteries, but it excels with the Octane batteries.

I’ve been an avid Ridgid buyer for years. I’ve started upgrading to the octane batteries and wanted try an octane tool. This impact is amazing! It’s extremely strong and a lot quieter than the gen 4 impacts. The modes are great but a little hard to get used to. I would definitely recommend!
