RIDGID introduces the 18-Volt OCTANE 6-Mode 1/4 in. Impact Driver with 18-Volt Lithium-Ion 4.0 Ah Battery and Charger Kit. The 18-Volt OCTANE Brushless 6-Mode 1/4 in. Impact Driver features high performance brushless motors and advanced electronics that provide Best-in-Class power and intelligence. While providing increased performance with all RIDGID 18-Volt Batteries, OCTANE Tools provide maximum performance in high demand applications when paired with OCTANE Batteries. Paired with an OCTANE Battery, this Impact Driver gives an Industry Leading 2,400 in./lbs. of torque. The battery in this kit gets up to 4X the runtime of standard lithium-ion batteries and is built for high performance and protected from overheating, overloading, and overcharging through the Triple Protection Electronics design. The chemistry allows for maximum performance in temperatures as low as -4 degrees and up to 120 degrees F, so you can confidently use them year-round. The 18-Volt Charger features Rapid Charge Time, Smart Charging, Cold/Hot Warning, and Energy Save Mode. With registration, this kit is backed by the Industry’s Only Lifetime Service Agreement. The OCTANE Brushless 6-Mode 1/4 in. Impact Driver includes a Phillips Driving Bit, a belt hook and screw, 4.0 Ah Battery, Charger, and operator’s manual.

The Ridgid octane impact driver is way better than I expected. I read a ton of review on home depot and on ridgid.com and there were some complaints that this driver didn’t have as much power as the previous model driver. Well I can re-assure you and tell you this has plenty of power in this bad boy. Actually more than you’ll probably ever need. I’ve built a storage for my snow blower, mounted fast tracks in garage, installed a deck, built 2 walls, installed ring doorbell pro and many other projects around my property and it was really nice having this driver this summer. I wish had gotten this years ago b/c it would of saved me time in building things. Side note: If you’re considering the subcompact driver vs this driver like I did, go for this driver with more power. I’m really glad I did because having that extra power is nice and I’ve had no problems using this in my home as well. Its still small enough and light enough to use in small spots. Lastly the battery lasts easily a half a day when using it full on with no stops but then it charges quick. I think in under 30 minutes it was charged and ready. So I charged it during lunch breaks which was perfect. Or if you’re doing small projects in your home I’ve found it lasts a solid 3-4 weeks when you aren’t using it full on. Its a great value for the battery power and charge. Also don’t forget to send in your warranty card immediately after purchasing so you’ll get lifetime warranty. If you forget you’ll only get the 1 or 2 year warranty. I’m pumped that I got lifetime warranty on this bad boy. I’ll never have to buy another driver unless this company goes under. If you’re on the fence do yourself a favor and go get it now because you’ll finish a ton of projects and it’s so much fun to use too! Go Ridgid Octane Driver all day any day!!!!!

Replaced my Ridgid impact driver (with brush) with this guy- so far loving it. Plenty of power and adjustment feature. Takes a little to get used to the stall out feature but it did the job better than the regular brush version.
