While providing increased performance with all RIDGID 18-Volt batteries, OCTANE tools provide maximum performance in high demand applications when paired with OCTANE batteries. The battery in this kit gets up to 4X the runtime of standard lithium-ion batteries and is built for high performance and protected from overheating, overloading, and overcharging through the Triple Protection Electronics design. The chemistry allows for maximum performance in temperatures as low as -4 degrees and up to 120 degrees F, so you can confidently use them year-round. The 18-Volt Charger features Rapid Charge Time, Smart Charging, Cold/Hot Warning, and Energy Save Mode. With registration, this kit is backed by the Industry’s Only Lifetime Service Agreement. My first trim router. Easy to set up. Easy to use. Like the variable speed capability. Only knock is that my hands are big, making it somewhat difficult to hold the router. But I’ll work that out in time. Highly recommend it.

I bought this in a combo pack with two other tools for $200. Thats about $65 a tool. Very affordable and works great. I built some patio furninture and routed the edges of the wood. Tried to cut some grooves in a table top for a glass incert, but it was very choppy. Not the tools fault, but for me the guide was practically useless. Maybe ill improve in time

I planted a 3/4″ auger bit in a 2×4 laminated benchtop and wanted to salvage the bit. Excuse to buy a new tool. This hogged out the material efficiently. Easy to control, and the dust port was solid with a 2-1/2″ hose and adaptor. The bit was easily removed from the collect after use. I am pleased with the value of this tool.
