While providing increased performance with all RIDGID 18-Volt batteries, OCTANE tools provide maximum performance in high demand applications when paired with OCTANE batteries. The battery in this kit gets up to 4X the runtime of standard lithium-ion batteries and is built for high performance and protected from overheating, overloading, and overcharging through the Triple Protection Electronics design. The chemistry allows for maximum performance in temperatures as low as -4 degrees and up to 120 degrees F, so you can confidently use them year-round. The 18-Volt Charger features Rapid Charge Time, Smart Charging, Cold/Hot Warning, and Energy Save Mode. With registration, this kit is backed by the Industry’s Only Lifetime Service Agreement. Great little handheld router. Can’t believe it took me this long to buy one!!! Only word of caution is that due to the small base, you definitely need to make sure you’re keeping it level. It can easily tilt compared to larger routers. Regardless, don’t hesitate to purchase!!!

I’m biased toward Ridgid, however the quality & performance meets my high expectations. High quality build. Easy to adjust. Perfect for large or small jobs. I own the corded & larger router by Ridgid with table, however I purchased this To smooth the edge of my garage baseboard. They are 10’ x1” x 4” so to run this bird would be difficult to control on a router table. Now I can just easily control the router as I smooth the edge of the 10’ boards.

Pretty nice little router but top speed seems a bit low. It is so lightweight and handy to use, being cordless, that I’m really glad I got it. Be sure to tighten down the nut on the locking mechanism before use or you will find like I did that the router depth changes as you use it. The instructions are lacking in the area of when and exactly how to use certain parts and accessories but maybe they (Ridgid) figure that instructions are either not needed or never read anyway. I sent in the registration online immediately upon receiving the router but (for the third time now) Ridgid has not verified my LSA coverage in a timely fashion.Have a blessed day!
