I picked up this router as I’m making the transition from Dewalt. Rigids quality, reliability, and lifetime battery replacement is hard to overlook. I am a professional cabinet maker and use this handheld router on a daily basis. Its constantly on the workbench for creating shelf edge details, flush trimming, and lightweight enough to make my own cabinet scribe without having to use the large router table.Since all the batteries are interchangeable, I’ve been using the new Octane batteries to provide plenty of power. Easy depth adjustment along with quick bit changing capabilities make this router top of the line.Another great product by Rigid.

I purchased this router primarily because I am firmly in the Ridgid 18V ecosystem, and was initially really impressed with it (like I have been with my drills, circular saw, jig saw, etc.). But after a bit of use, I noticed some vertical slop (probably a millimeter or so) in the shaft, which made the fine adjustment unreliable, and no obvious way to fix it myself. I’ll be returning this one for a replacement and hoping that I just had a bit of bad luck. I am recommending it because of the experience I had before the shaft loosened, and expectation that the replacement will provide better results. If I had one gripe, it would be that the on/off switch is a little difficult to turn “on”, but perhaps that’s the intended design to avoid accidental engagement and potential injury.

Awesome trim router…cuts through oak no problem (haven’t tried anything harder yet). 4ah battery lasts long enough I haven’t had any issues with finishing a project with 1 battery. LED is a nice feature

I bought this a month ago and have definitely put a few hours on it. It has ample power even as a cordless tool. As with any router you need to understand the finesse in how much to cut in a pass and what speed is reasonable.I need to bring my router back in for an issue with the battery. The lock that holds the battery in place leaves 1/4″ of play and this is enough for the battery to disengage when you put it down. A simple push of the battery reconnects it, but it shouldn’t even be an issue. The on switch is a little awkward to engage, but you get used to it.Overall this tool is the Ridgid quality that I am used to.

This little trim router is amazing. I don’t know why I waited so long to get one. I’ve read several complaints about the design of the power switch being inconvenient, but I haven’t had any issues with. Wish I had purchased it sooner.

Im still learning the ins and outs of using a router but I did get this as a part of my 18v collection. I love the compact nature and the options it has. I have nothing negative other than my lack of full knowledge with the tool. I can say its built well and made to last.

Love it. Easy to handle. Easy to change bits. Performs great. It does drain the battery after a several key holes notches but I love the handling of the tool. Definitely would recommend.
