This is a very nice quality jacket even if it didn’t have the heat option. The fit is actually closer to American sizing which helps a lot to know since it seems a lot of stores don’t actually stock one to try on in store. I found it nice and warm, even to having to turn it down to low heat. The heat zones are a bit small but with it zipped up the heat spreads around pretty good. I recommend a thick shirt underneath so the heat zones have a chance to spread out inside. The pocket for the battery fits a 2.0 battery perfectly but will fit a 5.0… I didn’t see it being necessary to go bigger because the 2.0 lasted longer than I actually needed. I didn’t run a usb charging cord yet to charge my phone, but it has a nice internal zone to run one and keep it from tangling up with anything else, so very nice.

I picked up this router as I’m making the transition from Dewalt. Rigids quality, reliability, and lifetime battery replacement is hard to overlook. I am a professional cabinet maker and use this handheld router on a daily basis. Its constantly on the workbench for creating shelf edge details, flush trimming, and lightweight enough to make my own cabinet scribe without having to use the large router table.Since all the batteries are interchangeable, I’ve been using the new Octane batteries to provide plenty of power. Easy depth adjustment along with quick bit changing capabilities make this router top of the line.Another great product by Rigid.

Love this purchase. Of all my shop tools, this one has to be the one I am most appreciative to lose the cord. Allows me to move around cabinets and furniture pieces without having to wrestle them into a new position, never have to keep one eye on the cord possibly tangling and causing detail and safety issues.I don’t understand how some reviewers can say it’s not good. The only way it would not perform well IMHO is to use it in a manner that it’s not intended like trying to plugs too deep, too fast or trying to use a large bit and remove huge amounts of material at a time. It’s not a shaper folks…but it certainly is a very capable router. Way better than my Ryobi trimming router and rivals my trusty Porter Cable, just way lighter (which I appreciate!)
